It is my great pleasure to write a few words for the web page of TMSS Medical Assistant Training School. We believe education is the cultivation and manifestation of the individual talent to lead a successful social life. Bangladesh is a middle income developing country but rural health are not developed up to the mark till now. Professionally medical assistants have been taking praiseworthy step in serving the people particularly in the rural area where they themselves are regarded “doctors of the poor.” From that vision and inner urge, in 2008 TMSS established TMATS at Thengamara, a green village 6 km north to Bogura town and 4 km south to “Mohasthan Ghar” a historical place. It is the high time for science students after passing SSC or HSC to build up their carrier through MATC and after becoming medical assistant they will serve the rural poor people and uphold the quality of rural health services as well as the health services of the our country.

TMATS started with qualified and dedicated doctors, teachers and others staffs. The entire faculty members are constantly seeking newer methods of teaching and putting their best efforts for learning process. The faculty members and colorful presence of students have already made the institute glorious. Students are urged to maintain high standard of their exercise in this institute. The course evaluation is made through regular periodic class test, Item card, midterm & test examination internally as per regulation of the institute and faculty final examination in a yearly basis held regular examination in December and supplementary in June every years as per rules, guidelines and instructions of the state medical faculty of Bangladesh.

The evaluation system of the students including written, oral and practical test are performed under the direct supervision of respective teachers of institute. Moreover, question setting, moderation, printing, distribution, tabulation will also be done according to faculty rules, guidelines and instructions. Student’s progress report and performances are informed regularly to their parents for individual attention & improvement. It is mentioned that each student after successful completion of 3rd year final faculty examination will go under 12 months compulsory internship, 9 months at general/ Sadar hospital or any equivalent hospital and 3 months at Upazila Health Complex. After successful completion of 12 months rotator internship he/she will get permanent registration as per faculty rules, guidelines and instructions.
