Introduction:

Bangladesh is a low middle income populous country. In the development of this developing country in the middle of the world, illiteracy and ignorance are still acting as major obstacles in building a healthy nation. A healthy nation can be formed through better treatment, medical education and health awareness. Most of the health care facilities especially MBBS and specialist doctors are urban centric. As a result, the rural population of the large ethnic group of the country is not getting health services. As a result, the common and poor people of the village are losing their lives prematurely due to lack of education, awareness and specific treatment. Waste is money and wear and tear is health. The helpless, poor, uneducated people are constantly moving around in this circle. As a result, it is not possible for most of the people to break the chain of poverty. In order to free the masses from this curse of the poor, it is now necessary to develop proper medical management and create public awareness through proper health information sharing. The current government has sanctioned a 4-year medical assistant training course privately to ensure science-based medical services at the village level.

Why do you need medical assistant training?

  • 9. There are opportunities to pursue higher education and establish chambers/pharmacies by taking loans from TMSS.

Higher Education:

After passing MATS there are opportunities for higher education. For example: Microbiology, Biochemistry, Food and Nutrition, Maternal and Child Health and Public Health are available for BSc/MSc. There are also opportunities to pursue MPH and PhD degrees.

Workpalce:

At the government level, there are job opportunities for the post of Sub Assistant Community Medical Officer (SACMO) in Army, BGB, Police Force and various Corporations including Upazila Health Complex, Union Sub Health and Family Planning Center and Community Clinic. Also, there are job opportunities as medical assistants in any hospitals, clinics, various NGOs, garment factories and industrial factories at the private level.

Admission Eligibility:

Minimum GPA of 2.50 in SSC or equivalent examination with Biology from Science Department. It should be noted that the students who have passed the previous four years including the current year can also take admission. In that case you must apply online to IHT/MATS after SSC Exam Result and get minimum pass marks by attending IHT/MATS Entrance Test.
